Outi Heiskanen and Janne Laine at Grafikens Hus, Mariefred. We know Outi from this post and Janne Laine is one of the printers at Himmelblau in Tampere, the printshop Tuula Lehtinen (the Finnish artist I work for) founded.

Here they can be viddied in the printshop at Grafikens Hus, doing what printmakers do best - and adding a nice professional edge to my ongoing printmaking video post storyline.

It’s in Finnish without subtitles, but still nice to get a look around the workshop. Enjoy!

Behold the awesomeness that was Finnish printmaking back in the day, aka 1981. Among the people presented today is Outi Heiskanen, who triggers some kind of Moomin-synesthesia in me every time I see her. My favourite picture is Ensio Lamberg’s living room studio set-up with nice wallpaper, curtains, armchair and a big bucket of solvents.
