Black Heart Press

Biased and opinionated printmaking blog.

  • So yeah.
Yours truly can be seen in this ArtStars* video, which was filmed at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki.

The backdrop for a large part of the video is a big silkscreen work by Mari Hallapuro (a better photo can be seen in this post, where the annual spring exhibition of the art academy was reviewed by a 3yo: http://kasperstromman.tumblr.com/post/23018154954/the-academy-of-fine-arts-degree-show-as-reviewed-by-a)

I don’t want to go to a museum I have never been to before. I want to go to the animal museum.”

The “photocopied image of a bridge” is a woodcut by Markus Lampinen, his works can be found here: http://markuslampinen.net/index.php?id=images

At the very end of the video Nadja crashes the printmaker’s picnic, visits our “art cave” (greetings to Jonathan Green - http://jonathangreen.tumblr.com/) and cranks the Karl Krause press with me in the background.
