Temptation through despair (and cute devils).
I’ve posted about Master E.S. before, but while I was browsing the awesome online catalogue of the British Museum I came across this wonderful print. A mirror-reverse copy of the original Master E.S. print, this engraving is coloured by hand, something that can be seen in many prints throughout the ages (Albrecht Altdorfer for instance, of Segers later, just to name two) and should be done today, too.
Can’t really say why, but at the moment I’m very much into hand-coloured prints.

Are there any interesting contemporary works like that out there? Would be great to hear about that in my ask ;)
