Black Heart Press presents: (PART II)
A time capsule, portraits of Finnish printmakers, painstakingly scanned by yours truly out of the catalogue “50 Finnish Printmakers” from 1981. I scanned about 40 portraits and will upload them over the next weeks in small batches - images were chosen because they show the artist and his or her studio / workplace, artists represented only with a portrait photo were in most cases not scanned, exceptions were made for great glasses, poses or beards.
The first set of portraits can be found here - someone even recognized their old teacher Helge Riskula - and yours truly found out that I have Finnish followers! I thought all of you guys came from places like Corner Brook, Newfoundland, somewhere in the outback or possibly Pennsylvania (and South Korea - hi William).
Either way, enjoy those portraits of oldschool Finnish printmakers.
